Foil Allie foils Mary Hightower in the book because Allie is uptight and always thinks things through and disagrees with Marys philospohy and everything Mary does. Hershey bar I chose a hersey's bar to represent Nick because in the book it always talks about how he is eating a hershey's bar.

In the novel Everlost, Allie is the main protagonist. She is a strong-willed, goal oriented girl who takes risks living her afterlife in Everlost which shows that any problems she encounters will not stop her from doing what she needs to do. Allie is a bit strong-headed but also very independent although, her choices may never be the best. Mary Hightower is a self-proclaimed expert that has given herself the status as being the mother of the many children stuck in the afterlife welcoming them with open hands.

Can Allie, Lief, and Nick find the peace that will prepare them for their final journey home? Or will they spend an eternity held captive by a vicious monster?

Everlost is an exciting novel by a talented writer. I encourage readers to seek out his other books as well. Shusterman, always an inventive writer, has exceeded even his own high standards with this beautiful, terrible world.

And yet when we reach the climax, he brings us to a moment of joyous relief, as our heroes -- even Nick, with chocolate permanently on his face -- become so ennobled that you realize that even though they died tragically young, they still found a way to turn this purgatory-like existence into a place where epic deeds could still be done. They have, in other words, a good life, rich with meaning. Posted by Becky at PM. No comments:.
