However when I started using strong special medicinal strength deodorant on my feet, the problem went away almost overnight.
Normal deodorant wont hack it. This stuff will come as roll on or cream. Ask your pharmacist about it. That said going to see a foot or skin actual doctor not beautician specialist is much better than trawling the tinterweb for answers.
You know im glad I ran across this. I never knew that so many people had rotten assed feet like mine. Almost all the symptoms described here, I have had, such as sticky socks to the point of almost peeling skin off my feet enough to bleed, essence of death foot stench capable of clearing large rooms of all breathing humanoids, small and large craters that seem to be irritating not painful for the most part.
There was a comment above about someone chic liking the smell…. There is something seriously wrong when people can use their feet as sticky fly paper and almost walk up a wall barefoot those of you who know what this crap feels like understand what im talking about My malodorous foot-rot has come and gone for a period of about years, being more pronounced in the cold seasons..
For some reason my feet sweat like a cold drink on a hot day when they are chilled. What I dont understand is how this bacterium can leave for a period of two years then re-appear?
However, open toed sandals and the like only seemed to help momentarily as the contact area of my foot would then stick to the sandal no matter what the material was made of, and the smell was just as bad.
I have tried several rotations of shoes coordinated with the changing of clean socks ever few hours and nothing. I have tried mouthwash, bleach, salt, tea-tree oils, vodka, jim beam and napalm. Im telling you, if you want to have a happy girlfriend or boyfriend with exception of the chic that likes this death-foot you dont want this crap!!
I applaud this niche community of nasty feet people with all my heart, for now I can bookmark and note the becomings of us mutants. Thanks for all who commented, great information here.

From my research, after dealing with this for two years, I realized that most skin problems are caused by a systemic yeast infection. When I started attacking the root of the problem all of the skin issues started going away within 3 days.

Rub it into your foot good enough so it dries the spot and then dump good amounts in your sock and shoes.

When I substituted bar soap with 'showergel' Nivea men's and others , the stickiness which used to remain until skin dried, totally disappeared. Once in a while I try washing face with soap to check if condition still persisted. It unfortunately still does. Using sea salt when showering scrub with washcloth , do not bath in the tub. Use antifungal cream on skin or sores I've used baking soda to wash mouth out twice daily then Apple cider vinegar raw organic 1tablespoon daily, fights infection..

It sounds like Acquired Cutaneous Adherence, or sticky skin syndrome, and it's quite rare. It's often caused by a medication, but not always, and it's not progressive, but is troublesome. Usually, when the skin is completely dry it's not sticky, but that doesn't seem to be the case with you, so it may not be this. You can find a discussion of this at Not rare if you have mold. Rubbing alcohol and applying bath or baby powder is a palliative.

Everyone stop!!! Just completely stop I have sticky skin syndrome and that is linked to mold,. I'm sitting in my car scrubbing my beard and skin raw with cotton swabs and alcohol. This has been consuming my life for the last two years it's killing me and it killed my dog. I knew that apartment is killing us it was contaminated with mold even after they said they repaired it.
I complained for your street that mold was growing in the kitchen cabinets under the sink management denied it and sent maintenance just wipe it down with bleach but it would only grow back. So within the two-year timeframe I've been to multiple emergency rooms doctors dermatologist with no help and they're just concerned looks accusing me of being on drugs. I'll because I've been breathingin the forms of black veiny mold green fuzzy mold yellow story mold. The apartment had a leak in the ceiling slow leak that's living in California the mold was growing in the cabinets on utensils.
The carpet will turn waxy Like an oil slick came over it. I've tried different brands of those low cut peds I don't want the peds to show and look like I'm wearing socks , but they invariably fall off my heel and get all bunched up in the shoe. I don't know if this is a common problem, or if it's because my feet are wide. The peds never seem to fit - they don't grab the sides of my feet and they are stretched so tightly that they almost immediately come off.
What gives? I've gotten the biggest size available. Is there anything else that works? Put This On had a post about going sockless that recommended terrycloth insoles. Never tried it myself, but it might be worth a try. It is going to be quite difficult to find anything that won't show a little bit of material and as you are finding, the less material there is in general the more likely they are to come off, too.
